You then had the Auctioneer place several auction ads in local papers: maybe 6 in the Fulton Sun, 2 in the Ad Finder, 2 in the Ad Tracker, 1 in the Jefferson City Post Tribune and 1 in the Columbia Tribune. Even at this point in the advertising front there is, let’s say, $2,000.00 on these before mentioned items.
The next step you would probably proceed on to is call the insurance company about getting enough insurance to cover the day of the auction if something were to happen. Then you get the horrible news from the insurance company that Covid-19 is not covered under your liability insurance. Now what? Do you cancel, what about all that advertisement that you agreed to in a contract, what about all the help you had arranged to setup your sale…so many questions.
